Chicago has lined up a new gang of convicts for the summer. Charlotte d'Amboise will return to the production as Roxie Hart opposite Nikka Graff Lanzarone as Velma Kelly at the Ambassador Theatre. Christopher Sieber and Chris Sullivan will also join the cast as Billy Flynn and Amos Hart, respectively.
Sullivan will play his first performance on June 19, followed by Sieber who joins the show on June 23. D'Amboise will play her first show June 24 with Lanzarone joining shortly after on July 6.
D'Amboise is a two-time Tony nominee for A Chorus Line and Jerome Robbins' Broadway. Her other Broadway credits include Sweet Charity, Contact, Company, Damn Yankees, Carrie, Song and Dance and Cats. This will be her tenth separate engagement in the Broadway production of Chicago.
Lanzarone made her Broadway debut last season in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. She has also appeared in off-Broadway's Hello Again and Seussical.
Sieber received Tony nominations for Shrek and Spamalot. He previously appeared in Chicago in 2004 and was set to return to the production earlier this year, but instead replaced Jeffrey Tambour when the actor abruptly departed the revival of La Cage aux Folles. Sieber's other Broadway credits include Into the Woods, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Triumph of Love and Beauty and the Beast.
Sullivan made his Broadway debut last year in Lombardi. His regional theater credits include The Ballad of Emmett Till, The Hairy Ape and The Mystery of Irma Vep.
Chicago also stars Carol Woods as Mama Morton and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
